CIRCLE PAYMENT / ZERO-FEE & PRICING OPTIONS
Understand your fees.
Explore your options.
Processing costs deserve a clear explanation. Circle Payment reviews standard pricing and eligible fee-offset programs, including surcharge and dual-pricing options, around your business and customer experience.
Technology. Payments. A real partner.
Start with the actual cost of accepting payments.
The rate you see is only part of the conversation. We review your processing needs, transaction mix, and existing statement to help explain what you pay today. Then we compare the available options, including standard merchant pricing and suitable fee-offset programs.
- Review your card mix, transaction sizes, and sales channels
- Understand the proposed processing and equipment charges
- Ask how refunds and other transaction types are handled
Two approaches need two different conversations.
Credit-card surcharging and dual pricing are different pricing approaches. Under an eligible surcharge program, a permitted surcharge may be added to qualifying credit-card transactions. Dual pricing presents payment-method prices as part of the displayed pricing approach. Your location, card-network rules, disclosures, and chosen setup all matter.
- Review whether a surcharge or dual-pricing approach fits
- Confirm required displays, receipts, and customer communication
- Check the selected program’s eligibility and implementation requirements
A clear offer, with the right conditions.
Ask Circle about available Edge Program and other fee-offset options. “Zero-fee” describes a program approach; it is not a promise that every payment or operating expense disappears. Debit and prepaid transactions cannot be surcharged under Visa and Mastercard rules. Applicable fees and eligibility are set out in your merchant agreement.
- Confirm remaining fees, program charges, and excluded transactions
- Review your location and required card-network rules
- Understand the customer experience before making a change

Review the current Visa merchant guidance and Mastercard surcharge requirements, alongside the rules for your location and the program terms provided by Circle.

A LITTLE MORE DETAIL
Your questions.
Clearer answers.
Does zero-fee mean every business cost disappears?
No. Program eligibility, excluded transactions, remaining fees, and service or equipment costs depend on your agreement. We explain the actual terms in your quote.
Can debit cards be surcharged?
Visa and Mastercard do not permit surcharges on their debit or prepaid cards. Program configuration must respect applicable network rules and local requirements.
Can retail and restaurant businesses ask about these options?
Yes. We review the fit for your business, location, customer experience, and current payment setup.
